With nearly 30 years of oncosurgical expertise, he led the establishment of Pune's first state-of-the-art cancer center in 1994. Driven by the belief that 'losing your breast to breast cancer isn't an option,' he pioneered oncoplastic practice in India, revolutionizing breast cancer surgical management. His commitment to capacity building led to the establishment of the International School of Oncoplastic Surgery, training over 500 breast surgeons worldwide and introducing Indian subcontinent to the Mastership program in Breast Oncoplasty in collaboration with the University of East Anglia, U.K.
